Bob Hunt "Prowler" --> Build
I started this plane well over a year ago, but a week or two ago a friend got me motivated to get back on it. I also want to start another plane for OTS, but I don't like having more than one build at a time.
The wing is foam core, and has a Tom Morris bellcrank.
The engine will be an OS 35FP with 3.5 oz tank. Landing gear is aftermarket as I didn't care for the wire supplied in the kit.
The kit is very old and was missing the wing sheeting, motor blocks, decals and a variety of small other things.
Next up will be to get the plywood doublers in place.

Thanks!!
No, thats a Brodak tank, standard vent. If I did try, it would leak badly ... LOL

Thanks!!
I bought the engine used, but it had very little time. In my possession, its got a dozen or so flights on a Brodak P-40 ARF, and it pulled that big plane great! I have no doubt that it will perform great on the Prowler.
Even the plans are layed out for a 35FP ... if it's good enough for Bob, its well worth enough for me.

That's nice, Did the wing come packed in the foam shells? If so, you've got a good start on Bob's Lost Foam wing building kit for future built up wings.
I love my old 35fp, it's the most cooperative and strongest of the fp series from my experience with the 25, 35 and 40. It'll haul a lot of weight. I think I used the 10.5 x 4.5 APC with it, and the small 25fp venturi. That's the one I'm using on my new Twister, which is coming together pretty quickly, finally. The fuse is primed and sanded and the wing gets installed tomorrow afternoon.
Keep us posted.

Ya, the wing came with the shells. Its the first time I've sheeted over foam and it took me awhile to figure out and make sure the bellcrank was in there good. I'm pretty happy with it .... hopefully it will look nice and smooth when finished.

With that OS, if you are going to run a tongue or regular muffler, I suggest you go to a uniflow tank. Much more consistent runs and easier to needle. Check out my setup w/ the same motor on my Magician- http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2612282
