If you have the time.............
I love pictures of vintage cars and airplanes, but I like vintage model airplanes too. These are some of mine taken long before modern digital cameras and presently cropped into something barely visible but still presented here with apologies.
If you have the time, add your own here or start a new thread.
One of my first C/L planes, a Zipper

Crashed, rebuilt and flown again.

My first R/C plane. A lanier, solid core foam wing covered with sheet plastic could take a beating.

Lanier and buddys.

My first foam R/C plane, a Bird dog I think.

My first scratch built. I guess I was thinking P-38. Nothing was right about this model, it flew many times but it just mushed through the air.

My second scratch built, posted here before. It flew well. Pair of Golden Bees in there.

With 3 Cox bladed props this time.

Fledgling and friend. Still have the Fledgling

Kadet I think? Gave it to my son-in-laws Dad

My first someone else's rebuild. A P-40, my best ever profile flier.

Just pictures

My all time favorite in it's younger days.

Most I never took pictures of, or just didn't impress or last.

You earned a greenie rsv1cox because I like your historical fleet and the way you are attached to them...There is a Gallery section on CEF where some members already posted pics of their planes, though.

My embarrassment. As long as I have posted here I never kicked the tires over there in the gallery section. Just did, lots of nice models pictured. Rusty has several.
My excuse is...a cold windy day here in WV with time on my hands. I had thought about running an engine or two but with snow flakes coming down this morning I gave up on that.

And I forget about the gallery. I need to add some more pictures. I'm going to teach Wayne and Bob how to take those action stills with my phone cam so I can see myself in some of them.rsv1cox wrote:My embarrassment. The best way to look at the gallery is in the bottom left corner, select "Users Personal albums." Roddie has 50 pictures in his.

Great pics and I learned something - the gallery.
I love the faded ones the best. I wish I had pics of the small number of planes I built as a kid - they live only in my memory.
Cheers and thanks for the share.

NICE LOOKING FLEET BOB !! Man that was cool I went through it 2-3 times eyeballing the candy I have looked at several of those and have the plans with intent to build someday
The Zipper first one is one, I notice you have real detail like pilots and canopy , decals and such makes the planes come alive more . One thing I haven't done much of seems my planes are more built to crash !Thank You for taking the time to post . getback

Thanks for all your comments.
Yes, the Fledgling. What an easy flyer, maybe that's why I still have it and in one piece too.
The open cockpit trainer, I have no recollection of ever flying it or of what happened to it, I probably gave it away.
I would like to fly the P-38 again, and patch up the N-28 and give it another go. But I have emotional attachments to both and I don't want to wrap them up. If this wind/rain/cold weather ever stops and offers a decent flying day I will gather my son a couple of expendable C/Ls and go to this quite nice and deserted field I have scouted out and explore the dizzies once again.
I always admire Kim's camera equipped models doing lazy circles in the sky, returning to earth with their little chips of captured video. Fun stuff.
