Late to the party....OR I really like good engines
Just put a new OS LA 25 on the bench and got a serious surprise
back story
Few years back got jazzed to relive this hobby
1/2a stuff first and they are as fussy to start and get happy as I remember but with internet re-learn, time greatly reduced
On to bigger but still old skool combat 36s, mostly Fox and with help of ken Cook and others learned how to tame the beasts and feed them properly
in all cases first running was a pain of finding the correct prime and needle setting
The LA 25 w/ MUFFLER and OS venturi NVA assy (not the remote NVA) took a shot of 10/22 in the snout and burned off the prime second finger cutting flip
(love and hate APC props)
new needle in, theN back out 3.5 turns
fuel line connected and propped through to fill line to NVA
PRIME, add glow heat, flip, start..too easy....and real broad needle range
what a smooth running easy engine...think I will enjoy it on nose of 30oz RST/RM
