They just keep on trying!
Well I can't figure this one out.
Yet another Cox twin
Not only is it not feasible, but how & where are you supposed to mount it?

That has got to bee the weirdest one I have seen yet , even went to the trouble to put LH> and RH props on it lol . I guess they have it timed to intake and exhaust at the same time
would not worry to much about mounting . getback

Very inventive! But I can't see why there should be a LH prop? unless the crankshafts are not connected.

Re: They just keep on trying!
Looks like the cylinder was drilled for direct intake. Crazy there. Yes, it probably *could* run... but not well if at all. I dout the engine was reconfigured with the ports that would need closed off closed... I think the disk on the one end is the mounting.
Too much already for sense. Probably cant be taken apart as the intake looks soldered on and not neatly.

Yeah, I think this thing would be most useful, if one wanted to see it fly, to fire it out of a slingshot. It should drop a squirrel stone dead with one good shot. Or maybe a spud gun if you wrap it with a good wad of paper.pkrankow wrote:...Too much already for sense. Probably can't be taken apart as the intake looks soldered on and not neatly.

This guy's got three of 'em for sale. Funny, he doesn't have any bids yet.

Thanks for rising above the offhand fun-poking, and taking some investigative initiative, Lieven.OVERLORD wrote:I did something everybody else can do and questioned the EBay seller about this engine and the others and asked some more pics:
He answered that every engine was made by himself and that they do work.
I'm still thinking slingshot ammo, but I do like his anodized blue spinners.
I hope you're having a good Spring so far.

Re: They just keep on trying!
This guy has been making and modifying Cox multis for years.
While I may think that the prices he asks are over the top and it would be easy to criticise the workmanship - I have always admired his enthusiasm and the fact that these creations of his are done with a minimum of tooling.
The crankshafts are hand fettled, threads are not the neatest, parts are not the most accurate fit .............. But ............... These creations are his hobby and done with the best intentions with minimal equipment.
I do know that some of his multis do run - they are constructed by trial and error with a great deal of "final" adjustment.
They may not be things of beauty but I do admire any attempt at craftsmanship.

Yes, that crank shaft is impressive. Glad to see the extra pictures.
