Kim's new RV made me think of him
When I opened the Harbor Freight e-mail this morning
There are quite a few of what I consider their better bargains on sale for Fathers Day
Solid rubber wheel chock 96479 at $6 each is a good deal
Microfiber cloths for 12 pack for $4
40" x 72" moving blanket for $3
20oz HVLP Spray gun for $8.99 ( I use these a lot) at this price if you forget to clean properly take apart for spare parts and chuck it
Bunker hill security 63135 Ammo Box a $5 each is a very good value.... get a few desiccant packs and store your CA in the sealed box
I reload ammo and use these to store the different components or completed cartridges with desiccant packs
I have a few army surplus metal versions and prefer these as less expensive and much lighter for same volume
I have and use a lot at the field the micro 2 stroke 900/700 Watt gas generator on sale for $87.99
Note the bad reviews are almost all about the week pull starter... simple to avoid... short fast pulls..never long to the end of the rope pulls

Kim I have had mine 3 years and only use the store bought quart cans of fuel having zero ethanol and good stabilizers... very infrequent use, and starts or me with a few quick short pulls..not a power house, sort of quiet and lets me use some electric stuff like btry charger, covering iron, mostly low watt things
I do shut off the fuel supply and run the carb dry after every return home

Re: Kim's new RV made me think of him
I have 2 of those little 2-cycle 1000w generators. Didn't get them from Harbor Freight but they are very similar in design. Bought one of them almost 8 years ago and the other one is at least a few years old now. I rebuilt the carb in the older one a few years ago, also replaced the receptacles one of the original ones broke off the plate. I run regular 87 octane gas mixed at a 40:1 ratio through them. They still run and operate as they should. I have new plugs for them, the older one has a aftermarket plug but the newer one runs fine with its original plug. Some people go all out, tear down and rebuild these little generators to make sure everything was assembled and adjusted right at the factory.
I keep the gas shut off when not in use, however, I do not run the carb dry. They all get run for a few minutes at least once every 2 or so weeks.
Here's a pic of the old "X-Power" 1000w (1200w peak) generator being used to power a TV and a box fan in the back porch when the power went out in 2009.
They're fun. You'll want to load them down some if you're going to use them for lighting, keeps the flicker down.

Those moving blankets could be sewn into glider wing bags and free flight wing covers. I think I need a bunch of those. Thanks
