Autopilot and Bellcrank assembly help

Hello all,

This is my first post. I just recently got a piper Comanche from cox international. We've got it all put together except we aren't quite sure how the two pieces to steer the thing go together. They sit on top of one another, but it seems as though there should a more satisfactory 'seating' than simply friction to make the Bellcrank move the 'triangle' piece and therefore the wire, elevators.... Does anyone know for sure if this should fit snug or if it really is just friction and a prayer that holds them together? I called Bernie but even had trouble believing that just friction holds them together...

Or go to the "instruction sheets" link on the LH side of this page. And look for the 1977 parts catalog, page 7 of 44 shows the parts in the proper position.

I'm guessing but it looks to me like the bellcrank sits on top of the Molded in "post" in the bottom of the fuse, and must be held in place when the top of the fuse is attached.
