Good Luck to Rusty!!!!
The Huntersville, NC control line contest is today. Rusty with a bunch of other determined flyers begin this morning. I would just like to wish Rusty good luck and tight lines. He might have some stiff competition this year. Unfortunately, I was not able to participate this year as I was really looking forward to doing so. Ken

I will second that , i got a PM from mike ( londke3 ) wanting to know if i was going to be able to come sad as it is i just don't have the funds at this time . Just to be there and get to meet them would have been the Bomb ! I am sure he will bring us back a good report and just maybe a trophy. I will have to shoot for next year again if i can make it that long on squat for income (waiting on disability is a real crock after 2 yrs ) Sept. 2017 is my court date Good Luck Rusty !! i need to call Mike and let him know and wish him Luck too with Happy Landing !Eric

All the best Rusty as I look out on a cold, wet and windy British day and "fiddle" with engines.

I NEVER SAW THIS THREAD!
Thanks, guys. Thanks Ken for starting the thread. I'm sorry I missed my well-wishers, but it's all good, and now y'all have read my report and once again it's another piece if the best surprise of my adult life.
Has a nice ring to it. When I was struggling with the Shoestring and Beginner pattern, Mark Boesen told me I would forever be able to say that, and no matter whether I won or lost, nobody could ever take that away. Words of wisdom I've passed along to every beginner I've helped out.
And then there's my Pit and starting line mantra that Philly Flyer Larry Wilkes taught me when he babysat me in my first contest: "Hurry. But don't rush." By the way, Ken, Larry says Roy taught him that bit of wisdom to help keep his nerves in check. Wisdom takes on a life of its own, when it's honored and applied.
I love you guys
