Re: New old Cub
looking at all the posts lately of old 1/2a R/C planes kinda bring back the warm and fuzzies of days long ago, i got a couple electrics, but flipping props and tweaking that needle, then listening to the engine scream as it pull the plane upward is a pretty cool thing.
Re: New old Cub
Sweet looking. Hope it looks better finished.

No worries. Take your time, please..... You already have, and still have catching up to do. I have a Sig Hummer I had built sometime near the end of the 90's and it is just assembled and covered. Nothing else, no linkages, no servo mounting rails or such, bare! So I'm still up on you I am sure....

Thank you Roddie,

Hello Mauricio,
Yes, this will be four channels. If it works out, it will be my first four channel plane that uses an engine smaller than .10. I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I would be thrilled to be able to do tough and goes with a 1/2a sized plane.

Okay, what I can collaborate on will be a pleasure. Do you have pictures of the installation of the servos?

Re: New old Cub
I haven't gotten that far yet. The ailerons will each have a separate, wing mounted servo. The remaining servos will be rail mounted in the fuselage. I will work out the details after covering. I will be sure to post pictures.

Mauricio,
I love looking at your planes. Your workmanship is extraordinary. The radio installation in your Falcon is very neat and tidy. Thank you for sharing.

9g and 5g servos are awesome for practically everything. They make neat installations easy and straightforward.
Separate servos on each wing for ailerons/flaperons make life much better. Slow is important especially if you are still not a master of RC.

Re: New old Cub
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the nice diagram. I am going to add the blacklightning bolt when I am done with the yellow. Your diagram has me thinking that I should add an old style NC registration number, too.

Re: New old Cub
I got the elevator halves joined and hinged and the rudder hinged. I wanted to do more but decided to play with engines Saturday instead of work on the Cub. I am hoping to get some time during the week to work on the cub.
