I drew this up, cut it, and glued it together, to use an .020 I had around here, forever. It has aileron and elevator control. The covering is Coverite Micafilm, with Balsarite underneath, and on the bare wood. It's my interpretation of an RC model called The Hots.Extracted this from a few sheets of Balsa! 20170510

It looks wicked fast Doug. Wish I could be with you in Wichita to launch that puppy. Hopefully we can get together before your westward adventure. If anyone has a .020 heli mount to spare, Doug could use it to make this little plane run longer.

If possible take some video of the maiden, if not please take the time to post a flight report.

Your pal,

Ron

A TD .020 with throttle sleeve would be perfect. Small Cox Logo

I'm just waiting for the weather to cooperate. The wingspan is 24 inches, and it weighs 6 and a half ounces.
The Wichihawks Stunt Championship is this weekend too, so it will probably have to wait for a maiden after that event.
I will try to get a video of this little airplane flying, because that should be a real riot.

Yes a .020 Hots will be a first ever, there was very few 1/2A Hots made
this is a new level of the design, if on vid posted on You tube the entire
RC community world wide can find should they do a search for the name
Hots RC airplane!
