WANTED cylinder and piston for 09 and 15

Hi Guys, (Mates in AUS!),

I recently purchased a couple of COX engines and am now needing hard to get parts to rebuild them!

1) COX 15 Sportsman cylinder and piston, plus glow head. There is actually a hole in the top of the piston so it is US! ( [bleep]’n’broke! )

2) COX Tee Dee 09 cylinder and piston.

Is there any chance you might know where I could source the above items? Maybe you have some used bits out the back buried somewhere…….

Nothing has come to light on EBAY for a while.

I am getting right into learning about these marvellous little gems.

Have you put in a request to Bernie at Cox International or Matt at EX Model Engines? I believe they both have a waiting list for hard to find items. Your best bet is to look at parts or engine lots on eBay but with your location some sellers may not ship down under.

Thanks Jason, yes contacted both Bernie and Matt just now. I am now on the "wishlist" for hard to get bits!

Still hoping someone might have some.

Is the cylinder & piston assembly for the Sportsman 15 different or the same as a Tee Dee / Medallion?

Oh and yes, a TD assembly will work, with a little more power and a medallion is an almost exact match.

Thanks Cribbs for helping me understand about cylinder / piston combos for the Sportsman.

I would really love to restore / renovate / rebuild a couple of engines to gain experience. Looks like I have chosen hard ones to start out on. The wait will be worth it. I do have a few complete engines now to have fun with and have replaced some parts with easy to obtain 049 spares. This is a very addictive past time / hobby!
