Re: Possibly A Whip Plane?
I read somewhere that Testors/Wen-Mac would sell engineless model kits using the same molds as their powered models. May not be Wen-Mac...

Re: Possibly A Whip Plane?
I'm almost certain the Bob has purchased and used the Unpowered model to provide donor parts for the flying model. We'll have to wait for him to chime in!
I was searching WEN Mac....it was an Aurora !

Re: Possibly A Whip Plane?
I think that that one is a static display model made by Aurora.

Re: Possibly A Whip Plane?
It looks to be Aurora, but I'm not sure that it is. Size looks larger, irregular external surfaces are suspect, elevator hinges are not the same, and i don't see the heavy canvas stitching down the sides that Aurora features so prominently. But it has the identical wing attachments, the cowl looks the same as does the pilot. I would bet more Aurora than Wen or Cox though. Some parts look built, vertical stab /elevator. I dunno. Might bid on it just for grins.
Aurora offered both built and kit models and power/static. Also a Fokker D in the same configurations.
Make up your own mind.
Edit add:
Asked the seller some questions. I haven't kicked those tires in some time, so while there -this looks interesting

Where did that second picture come from Bob? I didn't see it in his ad.

Edit add again.
Yes, definitely Aurora Screwdriver series static display. Just got smart enough to scroll down far enough to see the pictures. Odd way to do it, usually a part of the main pictures vice a separate set.

Covered in the last line of my reedit above Bob.
My computer has had a slow day here and I think I just missed it.
It definitely is an Aurora "Screwdriver" series model and I informed the seller as such and she is changing the listing to reflect that. A dumb move on my part if i decide to bid as Aurora models bring much more than Wen and other products. Bid has already gone up.
