Flying Freeflight this past weekend
The weather was decent Sunday so we tried to get in as much flying as we could. The farmer cut down the soybean field and harvested the beans. The winds finally died down in the afternoon and I got to fly the Dakota and Sioux. The Dakota needs some left thrust removed and even more downthrust. My buddy Dan had his Sniffer out. We flew until it was dark out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwZPbcIFAo8

Yeah! Looked like a great end of day. Definitely helps to have a younger set of knees to run out and retrieve the planes. Nice video!

Very nice, great day to fly, and to end the day it flew off into the sunset.

I have a woodie 7x3 on the Sioux, I removed the diesel head and went back to glow. I loved the diesel but it would run too darn long. I found the Sioux a mile away upside down in a soybean field. That's not going to hopefully happen again. It gets some serious altitude and then wants to glide forever. I just left the 7x3 on and just let it chug along. It looks quite neat actually. I want to build another and launch two at the same time.

That would be interesting see two of them off at the same time.
