Drones ??
I know some of you own and fly them , I am thinking about Maybe getting one to try and hone my RC skills before putting some balsa in the air >> Is this a good idea ? i have never flown one and don't want to put a whole bunch of money in it but need something i can SEE when fling in the field behind the house . What are some good options that maybe you have had good experience with. Thanks in advance for your input.

Re: Drones ??
Just my opinion, but I think you'd be better off with one of the out-of-the-box foamies with the built-in auto pilot.
Drones operate with different dynamics, which actually (at least in my case) are at odds with the flying of airplanes.
They DO take great photos and videos though!

Re: Drones ??
I've flown R/C for many years. But when I got a drone and took it outside, it was a disaster. You can't orient a drone like an airplane. When it's any distance away from you is it going forward, sideways or backwards?
I second getting an airplane maybe with autopilot as mentioned.

Re: Drones ??
Drone hélicoptère and vtol stuf Not like fly plane and full 3d hely and drone Not for beginer I suggest to use a simulator first At first sight, a drone seems Easy to fly, it's not so easy Somting for film picturs like the dji or parot fly by ther self and Not so mutch fun While a QAV 250 luminar or auther type of racing free style drone nead constant Corection To fly just like 3D hélicoptère Som drone offers the choice of three types of flight control that can be changed on a switch Really useful to start but not really like the True thing Which in my opinion is quite difficult to tame y like m'y litle fatshark fpv drone just like the big stunt drone except wit choses of 3 flight control Google confortable possible to use glasses inside focused very well for me no headache
