Man cave, or it's amazing how much you can accomplish on a rainy day

Man cave, or it's amazing how much you can accomplish on a rainy day
We need rain, been drier than a potato chip here lately. Today solved that, all day rain. Can't get outside.
So I organized two garages, the loft, and finally married the 3-line flight system handle to plane unit along with a few other things like mounting an Aurora engine to a stand and getting out some old kits for sale on ebay.
Love the loft. Built it in myself from open studding, hung all the dry-wall myself except for two pieces. Mudded it myself too, but had it professionally finished. I did all the doors including the entry door up from the garage below. Equipped it with a flap to close it off and as a safety measure.
Great place to kick back, build models and listen to music.

Many years ago (1972) I built that Guillows Piper Cub 195 powered with a Pee Wee 0.020 free flight. That thing flew like a bird. Mine was covered with lightweight nylon (and clear dope) and I would get 6 to 9 flights before I broke the wing to fuselage joint. This was repaired overnight by injecting Ambroid through the covering. R/C would be nice with this model.

All I need is the pizza delivery man, a rope and a basket.

I remember well when you built that loft! The trap-door I remember as being slick! Lynne's on vacation this week.. and has been cleaning-out clutter too. You sir; have more energy than most people I know. It rained here today too.. and yes; we also needed it. I did a Walmart-shop after work.. because I like to do the shopping.. and we were out of stuff.... Rain? That's just harmless water that will wipe-off.
R U gonna' rig an airplane with the 3-line C/L bell-crank system? You may remember CEF member jpvelo (Jim Roselle; creator of the "CEF Reed Speed Contest" back in 2013).. Jim built some AMA "C/L Carrier" models around the same time. They were very nicely-executed models.. as were all of his examples that he'd posted photos of.
Below are some photos of a gull-wing C/L Carrier model that he was working on..
I may have found some Cox 3-line info. for you. images below;
below; CEF Crankbender (Duke's) 1/2A Navy-Carrier model featuring a 3-line bellcrank for the venturi (choke-tube) throttle by Cox International.

I'm hankering to build a throttled engine plane. I have two of the old Cox Synchro Pilot handles, but not one of the three line bellcranks. I thought one of the handles was NIB, but I was mistaken. I know that I've seen three line bellcranks that people have made up for 1/2A, but I can't seem to find them now. Can anyone point me to a set of plans for a 1/2A size carrier bellcrank?

roddie, I wish I was fifty years younger when I was really into this stuff. I think I would love carrier.
I tried it with that electric Bearcat, but I cut the throttle plopping it down onto the driveway to late and it rolled into the grass before I goosed it again. I saved your Cox pilot 3 wire system picture. Solves the mystery of what this little gismo is shown in your picture upper right with the red Dacron. Position lock for the throttle. Thought it was part of the Cox system but wasn't sure. Handle is for perspective.
The owner of this stuff must have built a combined system, Roberts and Cox.
My knees shook a bit, wanting this ebay Ryan I posted about awhile ago, but at $499, no box or handle...........
Must have sold though, it's not there this morning.

I listed it yesterday Ron, starting at .99.
It is complete I'm sure, but you never know until you build it. It has a sealed bell-crank accessories package, decal and all the balsa.
