McCoy 35 Maiden Flight
Thought I'd share a vid of my first experience with a red head 35. Super fun. Love the sound does a great 4 2 4 break. Great castor oil slinger lol.
Hopefully the link works. Since this rip we have put maybe 20 flights on er and I have gotten pretty comfortable flying, loops, inverted, lazy 8s...etc.
I'm looking forward to using this airframe for Rusty's Fox 35 tribute.

Hope everyone is have a good summer so far.
Cheers

Nice, You still have a beautiful place to fly and looked like a perfect day with low clouds.

Thanks for checking it out, we sure had a good grin on our faces when she lit up. I'm not sure what the model actually is. I think it's a scratch build combat ship. The elevator is super-sized, it has a foam core wing and flaps. I did purchase the airframe off the original builder. I'll send him a note and ask, I'm curious too. It's similar to a flight streak but with a longer profile fuselage.
Hi rsv1cox, oh yes it was indeed a great day to fly, I was suprised considering the clouds as you pointed out and location is very nice.

Looks like a Tornado Plasticote prop. A bit of tough time finding another.

Thanks getback, look forward to hearing your shoestring flight report if it all lines up. I don't know what it is but I'm really attracted to the sound the McCoy 35 makes
That sounds like a very cool prop. Never seen one of those before I'll have to Google it now I'm curious. This one is wood zodiac branded one. I love the stain color used. Gotta keep rubbing alcohol of it though I found out it softens the finish. I picked this prop up from Jon Fromm at the Balsa Dust Factory in Alberta. He's a pure controlline shop too, that he started up last year.

Re: McCoy 35 Maiden Flight
I mentioned the Plasticote prop due to the stain color. That was typical of those props. What I see though appears to be a similar copy of a Rev-Up. I'm not familiar with that prop your using. Wood props are becoming more and more difficult to source in the sizes we use.
