The Dauntless box

Got rid of the over-lap joints and cut in butt joints.  Made a reinforcement and will sandwich a cellophane window between the two.  

Looking for pictures that would fit.




Found a picture of the original box, but I have no way to reproduce it.

It's times like this that I wish I had Levents creative talents.  But I muddle through finding some representative pictures and slapping them on.  Sticky backed matte label paper.  Window is some cellophane I had laying around.  Three ring binder glassine interleaves were not large enough.  

Elmers's glue plus the stiffener plus about 75 pounds worked well to flatten.








Something out of nothing, full box cover made out of half a box cover.  Got to scatter up a Wen Mac fuel can, control line handle, instructions and a glow plug clip.  Paper steampunk.

Lookin'mighty fine there Bob, great job.

Good job of improvising Bob, no one except the most knowledgeable collector would ever notice the difference.

Cut some divots in the stage for the wheels to fit into, tied it down and put in on the wall to be mostly forgotten.





Put the best of the two in the box, not the one that came in it. That one has the best possibility of being flown.
