Supermarine Spitfire MK-1 with cox tee dee power plant
Hi lads,
I`ve just finish building my Guillow`s balsa spitfire MK-1 and I want to fly it using a cox.010 tee dee or .020 pee wee.
Has anybody here constructed one of these flying models with any success? I just think it seems a
little too heavy. It`s got a 16 1/2" (41.91 cm) wing span and it can be used for rubber powered flying
or gas powered control or free flying.

Ron Cribbs has exactly the same setup with 2ch rc
Control but I don't think he has flown it yet.
As a rule of thumb the .010 will fly planes up to 7oz.

Lol Nope!
I have a .010 in mine AUW was right at 4oz. with 2ch and gear. Go check out my build thread in the modeling section.
While I haven't flown it but, I did start it and it almost came out of my hand......

Go to the main page of the forum and click on models and modeling. You may have to scan through a few pages to find it.
