cox desert defender
i got this plane for $15 and the engine is almost brand new, how do i tell if it has a high comp. cylinder head?

it does not have the ring roud' the top of the glow head, just checked wikipedia, looks like its a #325 head

mitchg95: also look and the other side where the "combustion chamber" is. the ones with the smaller chamber are the high compression heads, usually with only 2 fins, but there are some with 3 fins and the knurling on top as seen in your photo. happydad

thanks, the head has 4 fins, looks like a smaller combustion chamber than what i am used to and as a plus the engine needed no work when i purchased it, just a external cleaning
