Re: what type of diesel fuel should i use
Commercial diesel fuel will not work.
First, it does not contain the lubricant that is necessary for 2-cycle diesels. Secondly, it lacks an ignition enhancer (ether) to get it to fire when used in a model engine. Mixing your own model diesel fuel is not difficult, but you will likely have better luck using a commercial fuel blended for model use until you develop the skills for starting and tuning diesel engines.
