Wanted Norvel 074 r/c instruction sheet or source
The title pretty much says it. Can anyone supply a download source or actual copy of the instruction manual for the Norvel 074 with r.c carb? I did find the .061 manual on line but not the .074.
Thanks, Jim

I can check when I get home, what are you after?
There is no real difference compared to the .061, same technology just a larger cylinder volume.

I am looking for fuel, break in and props. The 061 scans (thanks!) give me fuel and break in. I'd like to know what props are recommended.
Appreciate the responses, Jim

7x3 seems to be a good match. 7x4 adds a bit of a load; 6x4 does not produce the "pull" of the 7x3. A 7" prop has about 35% more disk area than a 6" prop.
Re: Wanted Norvel 074 r/c instruction sheet or source
it's interesting, the notes say 5.5"x3" and info states max. size 6"x3", you're right, max. with a .074 is probably 7"x3"

Master Airscrew also made a prop which I believe was specific to this engine which is the 6 x 3.5 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZ946&P=7 I believe the prop hole needs to be reamed still. Ken

I use 20% all castor and 10% Nitro. The engine needs to do +17000rpm to be happy. Largest prop is APC 7x3 (the 7x4 is too large), my favorite prop on this engine is the APC 6.3x4. It can take smaller loads too but 6x3 would be a minimum I guess.
Here is my inverted and fully cowled Norvel .074 on the 6.3x4 prop;

Lots of helpful information on the props, thanks. The pdfs would be appreciated if it's not a lot of trouble.
I am new to the forum and just found the long Norvel thread on Other Engines. It will be interesting reading. My Norvel is an ebay buy, supposedly new but no box or papers. I don't have it yet; we'll see.
I should follow the rules and introduce myself on the Introduction forum.
