Treeeees!!!!!! Arrgh!!!!!

Treeeees!!!!!! Arrgh!!!!!
I cut down 2 trees and split wood/burned all weekend. I decided to award myself and fly for a few minutes this evening. About 5 laps into a nice flight I put it into a tree that has never been an issue before. Ripped the tail off in flight and nosed it in and snapped that off too. Control rod ripped a line in the sheeting all the way up to the leading edge. And the control rod now looks like a corkscrew. The Tornado prop stayed intact, go figure.
I am ticked off and I am getting tired of crashing. I think I walked off center again. I also had 35' lines plus the length of my arm.
Trees!!! The bane of my existance!!!

Aw man, I hate walking off the field mad. Sorry for your distress. Which plane was it?
If you don't already, how about throw a white rag down to keep an eye on for your spot marker. I forgot to back up after launching last Sunday and coasted into my stooge while landing.

It was the Clown........ Still my best flier just not as pretty as it once was. My son put his brand new Wizard in the ground right after I wrecked mine. He got lucky with only a busted prop. The worst thing was I yelled at him cause I was still angry about mine. It wasn't his fault. The wind took it and slacked his lines. I already apologized though. Feel like a heel now.
Tree cutting party in Oklahoma!!!!! Everyone here is welcome!

Ron: a white throw rag sounds like a good idea to keep centered. i was going to suggest a swivel chair. LOL. hd

It wasn't the Elm this time. It was a Mimosa. I have never even come close to it before. Heck it's not even on my property, it was my neighbors.

HD,
They actually do make a swivel chair for folks with disabilities so they can still fly. I will grab a paver tomorrow.

Two Words: "Clandestine Night-Ops".... I got a friend who owns a Stihl Factory...will call an emergency meeting about a Suppressed Chainsaw... My Gun Store Bud has access to Gen-2 Night Vision gear...
Figure we could get Rory to catch the tree the same way that Seal caught the terrorist in "Act of Valor"....

A moment with a shovel or a knife and it will be even with the sod and difficult to trip over or hit with a mower...too deep and it might be a hole though which is another problem.

In the defense of trees they gotta have their space too!
After all they ARE stationary objects. Seems the moral of the story should be obvious or do you wish me to explain it to you?
