No more mr. nice Bean

No more mr. nice Bean
I have had enough with inverted flame outs and hard manouvering stumbles. The Bean is going to go through another facelift. Hopefully the last one too. The TD is courtesy of a local Kansas Wichihawk.

Looks good! hopefully it stays running inverted. Should make for some fast lap times also.

I have the same setup with a Medallion on my Baby clown. It never burps or sputters or cuts out when inverted. Hopefully I can re-create the same experience. Should help with line tension too.

Bad Bean is right.
I'm glad to see you finally got some Tee Dee power. They're ten times easier to crank and run than Bees, just keep the sprinkler clean and filter the fuel when you draw it up. Don't forget, it still quits when the tank runs dry. But set up right, you can time the run more dependably.
Not wanting to cast asparagus on your design, but when you invert it, the engine suction is going to be fighting gravity to pull in the fuel. I never could get a wedgie to run upside down that wasn't aligned with the venturi. That's why Tee Dees are beam mounted... or run on pressure. I never ventured into tapping the backplate.
And my bladder making video sucks, I made it look like way more trouble than it has to be. I should redo it.

Tanks Rusty
I am inclined to agree and certainly is usually the case however my Clown tank is almost identical in placement and it works a treat!
Who knows? Like you said though I could always go bladder. On the Goldberg instuctions that's how it shows placing the tank for a Rocket .09.

It'll probably work great. I'm just snakebit when it comes to tanks. Keep her outta the tree.
