Cox Tie Clip with .010

Leroy Cox came out with very limited supply of Gold Tie Clips with a .010 Engine attached. Can anyone tell me how to determine whether the product is genuine and authentic? I'm told there are lots of fakes out there!

Lew: Aren't "real deals" gold-plated? IIRC, they are.

Only the clip is gold plated. Only 100 were made. If it doesn't have the paper insert and the clear box it is most likely fake.

I bought mine from Dan Sitter so I know it's real.

There was a gold plated .010 that was made for the 50th anniversary.

the current seller of the clip is a fellow Free Flight flyer i've known for years........he is also one of the most honest people you'll ever know.
i can assure you that he is selling the real deal.

i'd love to own one these, but they go for way too much for my blood.
