Cox Queen Bee

Cox Queen Bee
Can anyone tell me anything about a Queen Bee. I've never seen one, and whilst looking for an Rc 049 have just started looking at them. Is there anything I should know about them. best version etc. They seem to be in abundence and seem to be quite sort after. I don't want it as a collectors piece in a box, just a good one to put in a early 60's single channel moddel a 1/2 wave. So if anyone out there has one to sell I might be your man.

Re: Cox Queen Bee
I have a few of these engines and they are a little under rated I think. Sure they are heavy but they can be made to run okey (on pair with the TT07GP). The stock head with a regular glow plug is a power robber, replace that with a proper head (09TD head + shims or a Turbo plug head) and make an airbleed on the carb and they run just fine. Here is mine on a 6x3 prop before doing the carb mod (low end is still a little too rich);

Here is the cox 05RC on the same prop and fuel, as a comparison;

Re: Cox Queen Bee
Thanks Kris, I hadn't realised Cox had so many RC variants. Basicaly a bog standard Queen Bee although a bit heavy would be a good place to start, with options for more power if needed or I want to have a play.
Cheers.
