Weekly CL meet with the Dayton Buzzin' Buzzards
I was working up in Dayton last week and met up with the Buzzards during their usual Tuesday evening flying meet. There was a good mix of electric vs glow and several nice models.
I was most impressed with the RM 1000 that eas owned by a nice fellow named Les (forgot his last name) Anyway, Les let me pit for him and I was ecstatic! What a beast 1000sq" and powered by a KB .61
It wasn't quite dialed in yet and it had a tendancy to run away. The video below is of one of the flights. In person it is larger than life and snorts like a bear. I had to hold on with two hands
I also witnessed a high speed outside loop pancake of another guys plane. That thing hit so hard the wing separated from from the fuse and the fuse shot across the circle like a dart and came to a rest 100ft or so away from the impact site.
All in all I met some nice folks and had a great time. Enjoy the pictures and video. The plane was hard to follow and I was too close to the circle, but you'll get the idea.

One of the upsides of having to travel is getting to meet people from all over. That's a great opportunity.

Thanks guys,
Yes it's nice to meet folks. I tend to learn a lot as well. If only I could put the info to good use!

Ron, do you have any of your stuff to fly? I know you traveled by air so that was probably out of the question. Ken

Ken,
No, not this time as I flew like you mentioned. I have been lucky that most of my trips of late have been driving ones.
I need to build one of those break apart planes!
