I have a strip of firecrackers laying here that I plan on lighting and tossing out in the yard, see if the snow puts the fuse out. Its -10°F out and is expected to go down to -15°F

We let off a few bottle rockets already, east coast time. Now to bed early. I can always watch the ball drop and the fireworks on the news in the morning. We need to get up early to drive to the Portland fun fly.

Baby sitting (or at least momma is/was) our little granddaughter tonite, kids are out and about, tappin' a few Sam Adams, getting ready for the Husker game in the morning! It's been a great Holiday!

Hey Mark, I'll be keeping a channel switching eye on the Gator Bowl. Go Huskers. Maybe they'll  have their way with Georgia. Aaron Murray being down is disappointing, but definitely a plus for you guys.


On the other hand, I'm hoping the Gamecocks bring their game today. They are the underdogs.

While I, on the other hand, am just now regaining consciousness at this ridiculously late hour of the day, thanks to a late nite welcoming in the New Year with friends...to be followed up at 2:00am with hot-fueling an Arch Medical Helicopter that was in a BIG hurry to get kerosine and get gone !!!

Pilot barely let me get loose from the thing before blasting away, so SOMEBODY was having a very bad night somewhere !

These guys and gals always de-fuse my groggy hatefulness with shouted words of appreciation as I try to get the larger portion of jet fuel IN this roaring monster rather than spilling it on the ground. I drive back home, thankful that there are people like this, willing to do this dangerous job.

As said, I made the video...unfortunately the battery in the key-chain camera was low and the 10 minutes dizzy flight was recorded in its first 2 minutes only...viewer discretion is advised particularly for those having a hangover from yesterday...
