.020 Mesh screen cylinder
.020 Mesh screen cylinder
Picked this up on eBay last week. Was on a helicopter backplate. No plier marks either. Still trying to clean all the petrified castor out of the screen. Will build it into a Pee Wee after getting it cleaned up a bit more. I need another Pee Wee anyway.......

Good on ya! I would have made that into spares. Another one lives.
Let me tell you about Hoppes #9...

I have it soaking in denatured as we speak. Will Hoppes #9 dissolve the goop in the mesh? I have never used it before. Bad enough buying a gallon of denatured at the TruValue for $17.

Re: .020 Mesh screen cylinder
Probably would dissolve it. It works pretty good for me on hardened castor. It dissolves it almost instantly.
The Hoppes #9 was a good natured poke at SuperDave. Wonder what he's up to?

Opinions and noses, about everybody's got one.
How about the ultimate solvent lacquer thinner, or even acetone or the o'l standby, brake fluid! However remember brake fluid is like alcohol or fuel, it absorbs water, so if left in for longer periods could corrode.

If you're going to build a Pee Wee, what are you gonna do with the backplate?

The needle valve looks to be broken off flush in the NVA. Not sure it can be salvaged.
PM me if you want it.
