Original older Cox Stickers preservation question...

Original older Cox Stickers preservation question...
I finally came across an older set for to complete my NIB TD010.
My question is that the glue is not very tacky due to age, would it hurt the value if I laminated the little sheet?

Re: Original older Cox Stickers preservation question...
I don't think they have much in the way of value. You can have those reproduced for a couple bucks and they will look exactly the same.
The only value they possibly have is if they are with all the original bits that came with the engine.
To answer your question if you want to preserve them for yourself then go ahead and laminate them.

I guess the question would be, if you had a choice between two NIB TD010 and one had a laminated sticker set for the same price, which would you choose?
Re: Original older Cox Stickers preservation question...
The unlaminated sticker one. Mostly because just about anything that has been restored has less value than something original and left alone. At least from what I have seen anyway.
Hope that helps a little. Maybe a genuine collector will chime in.

I'm not a genuine collector but I would choose the 010 with the original stickers intact.
