I bought some motorcycle tank transfers off Vintage Motorcycle Restorations in California who shippind them USPS to me in New Zealand. There are direct flights from LA to New Zealand but if you look at the tracking information it's gone West Coast to East coast and then to Israel where it was last reported 2nd of February. I have tried to email USPS but the web site only lets me get as far as the address where  there is no provision for non US addresses. I have tried to ring but all I get is the "We're currently experiencing high volume etc etc" and as I don't feel like holding for an hour or more on international toll rates that's a no go as well. I presume my package is on it's way to the Netherlands as New Zealand was named by the Dutch explorer Abel Tasman. I have had this happen once before, model came from Ohio via the Netherlands complete with dutch postal date stampings and a redirection notice. it took about twelve weeks all up but I eventually got it. Both the supplier and myself are following this with interest and they will replace them if they don't turn up but the worry is of course the replacements may head off in the same direction.

Pretty much the same story with my Testors (Surestart lol! ) engine. It's been from the U.S. to Poland, back to Chicago, back to Poland, and no word now for 8 days. Maybe that's a good thing 'cos it just might be on its way to Aus.
I can make no connection between us and Poland though.

Rod.
