I'm not kidding myself, I have finally arrived at God's jumping off place. Not a bother though, I have a great family and ambition for the future. One of my greatest pleasures is dropping in here every now and then enjoying the company and experiences of life with a great bunch of guys.

In Australia we call it "receiving your O.B.E."  In reality, an O.B.E. is an "Order of the British Embassy", as awarded by the Queen.

In colloquial terms, as in this case, it stand for "Over Bloody Eighty".

Not yet roddie, this MG was an electrical and mechanical nightmare when I got it.  The mecanicals are pretty much sorted, but the electricals?, think "Lucas, Prince of Darkness."  Hopefully before snow flies.  

Love the picture of the MGTD and the young lady Toreador pants and all.  Looks like a 40's era Chevrolet or Plymouth convertible behind the hood/bonnet of the TD along with a Studebaker Lark convertible off to the side.

I think it interesting about HOW we each see in our own minds how old we are...

Bob could easily be my dad but not in my mind...we have each related so many similar experiances

Then I call my mom... just slightly older than Bob... and she instantly makes me fell like I am a dumb 15 year old again

Then I call my brother who is 4 years younger and he makes me feel like our dad

Then I call my 34 year old daughter and her insane world view makes me think I am Yoda the wise
