Re: Whats wrong in this photo?
cool.
It is a pretty good copy but to be honest if you did not own all those parts it would have been cheaper to buy one.

Re: Whats wrong in this photo?
You can pick up a used Killer bee for that.
If you are looking I will tell you if I see one anywhere.

Could but I highly doubt it.
I have bought from Bob before and he is an honest guy.
Re: Whats wrong in this photo?
Need to look in the back, check the crank and piston.

Not always.
Not every "real" killer bee had those parts.
Re: Whats wrong in this photo?
It looks real to me. He could have just swapped out the needle valve to make it look like a earlier one but I doubt it. I have 3 NIB and 1 (taken apart) "early Estes" Killer Bees. The early Estes (1996-about 2000) Killer Bees are usually seen with yellow-gold cases, original cylinder, regular Babe Bee crankshaft, regular short needle, unlightened piston, original zero drag plate, thrust washer, original black backplate, original Mylar reed, original slip on reed retainer, original TD head and original spinner and screw.
Only the Killer Bee .051s had the red backplate.
The original Killer Bees (1992-1996) have a lightened piston, dual bypass with 1 boost per bypass SPI slit cylinder, lightened crankshaft, yellow-gold case, zero drag driveplate, thrust washer, black (red for .051) large open intake backplate, light weight low vibration needle valve, slip on reed retainer, clear Mylar reed, TD glow head and a spinner.
The later Estes ones (about 2000 to about 2002) had the same features as the early Estes one (1996-about 2000) only the case was unanodized and the reed was switched to a steel reed.
The latest Estes Killer Bees (post 2002) seem to have the cylinder switched with a non-tapered no SPI cylinder.
Maybe Mud could help on the exact dates...

Ditto!
Bob is a personal friend of mine and one of the most honest and knowledgeable sellers on ebay.
Re: Whats wrong in this photo?
I did not mean he is not honest, just Cox changed them after 2002.
