Eric, I don’t have any experience with Bob’s services. Looks like you can order just the plans ( and cut your own wood). Or order the plans ($) and the parts ($) being laser cut parts. I’m not sure he includes the strip wood. He’s been doing this for a long time, leads me to believe he does good work and has return customers! Heck, send him an e mail and ask him directly....what’s in your parts kit?

From his HOME page:

Welcome to Bob Holman Plans.

I have been of service to the scale builder for 50 years. Models built from plans that I
sell have won everything from the world scale meet, best of show Toledo, the masters, the
British Nationals and many other meets.

My plan service is more than just plans.

Old Time Sam plans and laser cut parts. Laser engraved awards are also available. We
have made these for the Scale Masters, SAM champs and many other meets.

I have had my own laser for many years. I laser cut parts for many of the plans that I sell.
I also cut for a number of other manufactures.

I can laser cut from your cad files

I haven't ordered from Bob Holman, but as far as I know he is reputable. Parts means partial or "short" kit (bulkheads, formers, ribs, wing tips, etc.), which does not include sticks, basically laser cut parts only. You supply the rest.

By the way, the Tomboy is a nice classic UK free flight, sort of reminds me of Keith Laumer's 30" (760mm) Push Up.

Know what you mean by taking your time, after all, my Berkeley Impulse has set on the back burner for 2 years. Doh!

If you want a head start, the PDF plan is available on Outerzone. Design is simple enough, need 20 wing ribs that are identical with a few needing extra trimming and 9 stabilizer ribs. Rest are a few rectangular bulkheads, which is easy to make. You could make your own "parts" kit in a few evenings and put the costs toward something else. Eyebrows
