Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin, Mother, Mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace

Re: Merry Christmas
A very Merry Aussie Christmas greeting to you all.
No snow here.
Heatwave starting this week Parts of out state expecting 49 degrees C in the next couple of days. I'm sure we all have our different traditions, many depending on the climate. Whatever it's like where you are, remember the reason for the season, and have a wonderful time.
Rod.

Re: Merry Christmas
I've just gotta say something about this little man.
This is Cooper, our almost two year old grandson. Sorry the picture's not so good.
Dressed in his "Santa's Helper" suit he did a great job sharing around all the gifts from under the tree. Finally, he spotted his gift. As you see, it's fully wrapped, but how do you disguise a bike? He just swung the leg straight over and sat on it, fully wrapped, wanting to ride straight away. It was one of those hilarious magic moments.
Then, straight outside into the sunshine to ride it around.
He loves riding around the brick edging on our driveway, like it's his own special little road.
Sadly, our son (who lives with us) and Cooper's mother are not on the best of terms, so every visit is special. We were fortunate to have him for the whole of Christmas Eve, so our family celebrations were moved forward one day. He was pretty happy with his bike, as well as the Thomas the Tank Engine railway set his dad got him. Setting it up kind of reminded me of the film in the "Fun?" thread posted here. https://www.coxengineforum.com/t12410-fun-a-short-film#158995
I'm waiting for the right time to introduce him to model planes. Maybe a chuck-glider for his birthday.

Re: Merry Christmas
Rod, Cooper looks like a natural for riding hopping right on like that. Those push n go bikes are great, no training wheels needed, and his own special road will teach em to stay out of traffic, as he grows up. Take a bunch of pictures or videos as he won’t be that size for long!

Re: Merry Christmas
Rod, the photo, even though not professional portraiture quality tells a story, his countenance of happiness through his rosy cheeks, receiving a prized possession. You all are truly blessed, I anticipate many good things said as his interests and personality develops, and just like our grandson, took to liking to things that fly. I made paper helicopters for him to try a year or two ago. He's now 5.
And Merry Christmas, all.
Luke 2:34-35 NHEB wrote:And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary, his mother, "Behold, this child is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which is spoken against. Yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed."
