Red Cox AA Top fuel dragster wanted

I am look to purchase the red Cox top fuel dragster like the one I had as a kid.The teather broke and my dragster went into a curb at full speed with a destroyed car being the result. Please contact me if you have or know any cars for sale.

David, there's 3 cox dragsters on ebay right now, but no red. I see them
come up somewhat regularly, so it might be a matter of time. I hope you
find one. Are you looking for a display piece, or a runner?

Thanks for the reply Bob.I would prefer a runner,but if a nice shelf queen shows up I may have too buy it! I have a blue/white dragster that I bought to replace my broken red dragster back in the early 70's.This one needs the dummy motor that I have lost over the years.

Yep, I've seen the motors come up too. I never had a rail, and don't know if
the funny car engines are the same. Sometimes, a funny car parts car can yield
some usable pieces.
I'll keep an eye out.

The dummy motor is different on the funny cars.The top half is the same but the lower half is made just for the funny car chassis.I have the Pinto and Vega funny cars. On the top fuel dragster the dummy motor slides over the motor/fuel tank area.

What is a reasonable price range for one of the RedDragsters?

I would like too buy one that is complete and running in the 200 to 350 dollar price range.I have only seen one red dragster for sale about 3 years ago and it was new in the box at a toy show and the seller wanted 700 dollars for it! No one bought it and he went home with it.
