Mark I just think it is one of the best and funniest custom made Cox pusher cars I've seen.It seems some may disagree on what can be used here in the photo's on this thred? Maybe they should have a vote on what can and cannot be featured in the engine photo's?
Look at last months winner? should the moderator crop the airplanes out of the photo's?
Mark no offense, you did a great job building it. but I would probably die laughing watching Finky and your Rat Rod go round and round on a tether string.
Isn't fun what its all about.
Thinking outside of the box,is the mother of Invention.

I think you might be right
Bob: you might be right. Maybe it is time we look at amending-changing the rules.Basswood wrote:Mark I just think it is one of the best and funniest custom made Cox pusher cars I've seen.It seems some may disagree on what can be used here in the photo's on this thred? I would like to suggest that we have different classes-categories each month. For instance
1. Cars with or without engines
2. Planes with or without engines
3. Boats with or without engines. (maybe some could be combined)
4. Cox Engines ONLY
5. Open category - anything you want with or without engine.
6. other
But only open to Cox engines. Isn't that why this forum is called the CoxEngineForum.com ?

I agree with Happydad , i think its about time to make some changes to the criteria as to make things more fun and interesting . I just wonder if that would fly with the sponsors ?

Getback: and I agree with you 100%. And I agree with Admin allowing the rules to be bent some.
Everyone please read the “engine of the month” rules and think about amending the rules to allow pictures like #10 to be allowed. The engine is supposed to be the featured item!
And congratulations to Kim. You know I love your videos and planes and engines whenever you share with us.

Happy dad .
Yes I read the rules . I see 2 engines working and 8 that are suppose to work ( very nice engines and I do believe that they all would run ) . It is is hard for me to pick a favorite every month but I really like to see the engines doing what they are suppose to do . Whish I had a nice engine that runs Like Kim's engine .

Re: **VOTE-ON-THE-NEXT-COX-ENGINE-OF-THE-MONTH** (July 2020)
Oh, like all beauty contests there is a certain amount of vanity. Some engines look good all by themselves, others installed in a model. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and oft I have found that one cannot guess exactly who wins, because the last few souls who log in to vote can sway things.
Personally, I think the rules are fine as they stand. If someone else has some prized engines to donate as gifts and a game plan, I'm sure the community here including administration is receptive to a starting another contest with different rules of qualification.

This IS the Cox ENGINE Forum. This is the Cox ENGINE of the Month contest. If the picture entered is “focused “ on the engine it should not matter if the engine is mounted on a model, installed on a model, test stand or stacked in a pile. Yes, we also enjoy models, so you can show off or enter your ENGINE mounted on your model, no problem, far as I am concerned! Go back and look at some of the previous winners, there is quite a bit of variety!
