Huh...  getback this is the latest model ratchet type the original model has some difference in the mechanism and it is reversible But whatever it does the job because all models are made to start in the same direction initially ... But this one on eBay look broken To And I don't really know how the two ratchets are detached from the fly wheel, how to put them back on.!!  i have one but On the model fitted with this type, I've never really played with it, I don't know, ?!!!I had the impression that these two pieces were fixed in such a way as to stay there for life. Like a press fit asembly Huh... To avoid breaking I just stopped touching it moreover this system works very well that's why I didn't investigate further Airplane this one must be the same engine he has Wanted: Pull Starter reapir kit for a Cox Dune Buggy. - Page 2 Img_2374

Wanted Starter wire

Post  Lemmi Sun Feb 04, 2024 1:26 pm

My starter wire is pretty worn and bent, so it does't go back easily.

When I look at the wire, it looks pretty similar to the bowden cable at my motorcycle. Did anybody try to take one of those?

Yes, as I recall, there are three pawls that slip into place upon rewind. It gets sticky in there and they don't always slide into place. Disassembly is possible and quite easy, just don't lose any small parts. An alcohol cleanup helps.

I have photos, will see if I can find them.
