Vintage Tether Car Parts: SOLD/PENDING PAYMENT
Hello Group;
It's been a while since I have been active on CEF but I was sorta forced to retire a bit early due to the Covid situation forcing the small company I was working for to shut down. So while I get accustomed to my new situation, I will probably be on here more as I start to get used to things and get into all those "one of these days when I retire" projects!
I have been doing some clearing out of what is really trash, and doing some organizing and establishing some priorities. What do I really need to hang on to??? A couple of those things are some vintage tether car upgrade parts that I have. I don't rmember where I got them, but they are here and I realistically have no use for them
One is some sort of spur gear upgrade for an Arden .099 powered Thimble Drome car. The other is made by Lucas and Smith and is some kind of differential upgrade for either Thimble Drome cars or Ohlsson and Rice cars. i find it kind of confusing and hope the pictures offer some kind of clue.. I was tempted to hang onto to them but thought they might be worth something to some one else and be what they need for a project car. I have been advised by people that are familiar with them that they may be worth anywhere from $150 to $175 each or more if I took them to eBay but I would rather not do that. Check out the pictures and let me know what you all think.
Thanks a lot,
Dan McEntee
PS: I might have to come back and add the pics after I figure it out again!!

Hey Dan, congratulations on your retirement and it’s nice to see you on here. You certainly have plenty of projects to complete now!

I used to follow tether car on eBay closely, I have seen the rear differential before go for 300+ or - the spur gear setup made by Martin for Arden .99 I have never seen before.
I belive Martin made the complete Mite car also. The Martin Flash Mite. Nice parts and should do well on eBay.
Martin Flash powered McCoy .19
