NV engines
I recently read an advert and site for NV engines, an offshoot of norvil engines, a name I have seen on cef.
They are russian ?
The petrol powered 40 engine, anyone use one and are they any good ?
Bigmig carbs, has anyone on here adapted one for a td09 and if so, which one please ?

Re: NV engines
The proprietor of NVEngines had always sold to me just fine...but it has been a few years since I ordered from him. A few others here have had "no so pleasant experiences." So good luck with your contact.
I have no experience with their .40 engine. Are you really looking for .40, or did you mis-place a decimal while reviewing his stuff? I 9nly asked because that is more common than you may think.
The smaller Big Migs (.049-.074) have bathtub-shaped inlets. You will have a difficult time fitting those on a TeeDee .09. However, the Big Mig .15 has a round inlet, so you may be able to use one of those carbs. I do have one loose in my Norvel box, so I'll try to measure/photograph it later if you like.
Also, the AP .061 (Chinese Norvel-clone) uses a round inlet. I seem to remember somebody here posted a successful AP-carbed Cox Tee Dee (or Medallion with Tee Dee plastic). I also vaguely remember the carb was flipped around upside-down with the intake-side threaded for the TeeDee plastic. I have one of these loose in my AP box, and can measure/photo it too.
I'm sure others will come along for added input.

Thanks for the replies...
Getting stuff from mecoa to UK is a real problem....
Hopefully a bigmig carb can he adapted/modified to a td09, or carbs and silencers seem as hard to find as unicorns !
According to the road signs in Pembrokeshire south Wales UK, unicorns come out at night.
Sign during day says visually beware of horses but at night with headlights visual sign depicts a unicorn lol a nice bit of local intelligent graffiti !
