The 2009 Flight of Little Traveler for St. Jude Hospital...Re-Edited
From My Facebook Page:
.............................................................................................
So, October totally got away from me...I missed Evel Knievel's birthday on the 17th...and also forgot the anniversary of Little Traveler's 2009 Flight for the Children of St. Jude Hospital on the 10th.
I'd been crunching down a new video from the footage of Little Traveler's flight because the original looks so grainy, and also wanted to edit in some comments and captions, then post it on it's anniversary.
But...I got busy and forgot. So, here is the new version, with some added footage.
As before, a HUGE THANKS to Rory Rubel and Mike Bloom for taking time to make this project a success, and helping raise over $1600 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital!
..............................................................
This cross-country trip was a long-held dream of mine since the late 1960's when I flew my first Minnie Mambo with a Citizenship Escapement radio in the clover field near my Uncle Wayne's home in Boaz, Illinois.
Accomplishing the dream with Little Traveler was made even better by the fact that we could also help a deserving organization like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Beautiful landing and for a great cause, kinda makes alot of things in life meaningless when we could do so much more for the greater good rather than thinking only of ourselves. Thanks for sharing Kim, enjoyed having a truck bed seat for this one

Thank You Bob!!!! This was one of those projects that was "a lot more fun when it was over"!
We were pretty tense about how it was gonna go (or at least I was!), but it all turned out great!
