That took some huevos Kim, and some flying skill. Very cool. Was that engine throttled?

Thanks Mark...can't believe it's been more than 3 years ago. We've got to get another crazy project on the front burner.
Hey Ron,
The engine was a stock "Red Scorpion" from Bernie, with no throttle. When we arrived at Uncle Wayne's house, I had to circle for a few minutes until the fuel ran out. After a week of wind and rain, we had a perfect day for the flight.

Re: Old Video from the 2009 Flight of Little Traveler
Just to prove that this particular brand of craziness is NOT limited to Missouri Stump-Jumpers, here's a scan from the August 1960 edition of Model Airplane News, showing some of our brother Englanders going for it! Looks like if I do another distance flight, I shall need a dangling cigarette and my aviator goggles for a proper ensemble! Strange thing is, I can't seem find in the article, the actual distance they flew !!! Could have been a "1960's Cold War" security thing....
I remember reading several articles like this, and am sifting through my collection, trying to find them.

I liked the "dramatic re-enactment" of the flight. BTW, how did you meet George Clooney?
