INFO WANTED: Cox Pitts Lil Stinker wingspan
Good morning All,
Does anyone have a Cox Lil Stinker on hand? I'm looking for wingspan. Weight would bee nice too, just so I know what porky is.
Why? Because with a profile change, this looks like a good place to start a tribute clone from:
https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=8169
Thanks in advance!

Thanks much, Eric!
That was fast...
I'm surprised the weight is that low. The Queen Bee is just a bit bigger at 11". Now to get some pencils out and see how close the tribute model may appear. This is just an exercise in hiding from the cold a the moment, so don't expect any fast movement.

Re: INFO WANTED: Cox Pitts Lil Stinker wingspan
Larry Scarinzi the designer is a friend of mine. Larry no longer flies any longer but I was with him 2 months back. I built mine in 2009 and flew it at Brodak's . I have a picture of my son flying it with Larry there. Larry actually flew this plane in a school gym. You can see my setup with the filler capped. This is a must as fuel will run out if not. If the needle is straight up, you can't get your fingers in between the leading edge without hitting the prop so I went with it sideways. The wire struts suggested is a not so good idea and I used 1/64" ply. I covered mine with yellow and purple Jap tissue and clear dope which is now faded.
This plane is capable of maneuvering very well and is quite fast

Eric, my pictures are poor and bright. No throttle, what you see is the bellcrank and wires behind the engine.

Re: INFO WANTED: Cox Pitts Lil Stinker wingspan
I love posts like this. I then take my stuff back out to the field and use it more. I build it, it sits around and now I can go exercise the piston for a few flights. My buddy Joe built the Black Hawk rendition of the Lil Stinker. It was horrible, nothing like the shape and so many errors. I essentially broke the plane apart and it's been sitting in pieces on the end of my bench. I have the Scientific plans and I want to try and make it like Walt's version instead of what it is now. While I admire Larry Rice's attempts to recreate what was old, many designs he made were lacking the proper shapes and sizes.
