How do you find a Gilbert Musketeer......put my son on the case. I don't do Facebook so I don't see Mark Boesens site but my son's wife has an account. So Mark placed an ad for one. A couple of days later he got a response, passed the name on to me which I recognized. This came to that and.............
Super well packed.

Re: From a member here, Gilbert the last piece of the puzzle.
My benefactor, no other way to describe him, gave up a part of his collection so I could complete mine. Super nice guy. He has had this airplane forever, among the first models that he collected. It did not have the exhaust stacks but he included a set. Unfortunately they are for an .11 but I robbed a set off one of my .074 engines.
Better picture. Flourescents play with my camera unless I turn them off. The two .074's (fore and aft) are new, the .11's side by side were flown and well abused when I got them.

Bob, you're striking a nerve again with your Gilbert mufflers!!! Why do people always fit the wrong ones? The Musketeer is sporting two left mufflers, not a left and right like it should. No wonder the stack is pointing straight at the canopy.
Sorry, just presses my buttons I feel better now!

Yes, I know but can't be helped. I have yet to find a .074 with the larger muffler, it's difficult enough to find an eleven with one. But, I'm still looking. I'm probably going to swap them anyway when the new ones come in.
It's all your fault anyway..............you got me looking for a Musketeer...........
Edit:
But check this picture out. Catches the windshielf anyway.
Now I feel better..

Bob, I would add 2 small deflecting funnels twirled from beer can alu-foil, and fixed to the muffler outlet snubs in inclined angle so as to minimize the castor smear on the windshield. Not that there exists an efficient solution to prevent castor precipitation from castor slinging engines, but better than without...
