RC PART SOURCE
Hello there everyone
I'm trying to come up with a project and I want to gt my hands on some umx compatible retracts for a 17.5" balsa EDF Attacker from easy built models.
I've had a lot of great luck from horizon hobby or others that discontinue a kit but still support it w/ replacement spares, but I never paid any attention to small electric flyers. Most of the current kits available I've seen don't get into retracts until they get to 1200mm ws or better.
Can anyone help me out?

Re: RC PART SOURCE
It may be out there, but I think it would be a tough do for such a small aircraft. Weight is an enemy. That's probably why builders eliminate the landing gear for retracted flight, or mount gear down fixed.
Nothing prevents you from designing and making your own. Keith Laumer in his 1960's book, Designing and Building Flying Models (online version available on Outerzone) discussed his ideas, before commercial retracts were available.
