Cleaning Solution Used in Ultrasonic Cleaner?
Hey Guys,
I decided to get myself a small Ultrasonic Cleaner. I've got a couple bottles of jewelry cleaner solution ordered, but am wondering if there is better stuff to use on our engine parts?

Re: Cleaning Solution Used in Ultrasonic Cleaner?
Here’s another, managed to find it after some digging:
https://www.coxengineforum.com/t4986-wanted-recommendation-on-ultra-sonic-cleaner
Some useful hints and tips (if I may say so myself ). Since that I have found that ethanol-based full-strength windshield washer fluid works too, just as good or even better than the usual camping stove fuel (denatured ethanol) that I used before.
Still, not a miracle maker, stiff castor residue requires heat and time, but ethanol is gentle for aluminium, and not that toxic as far as the fumes are concerned. I turn the heat to about 150 degrees F. In a prolonged wash, the bluing of the cylinder may come off a little, giving a slight metallic sheen to the tips of the cooling fins, but anodizing of the ally parts don’t seem to mind a long bath.
