Had one of these as a kid in the late 70's. A friend of my fathers used to work for Mattel and always gave us returned items. Not that Cox and Mattel are related but, somehow he got his hands on stuff.

Anyway sometime in the 80's I took this thing off the shelf and tore the guts out of it so I could use it as a push car. Yeah, I'm an idiot, but hey I was like 8yrs old cut me some slack lol!

I had never seen a Cox Interceptor, till now. The electric control assembly looks srikingly similar to the one in my NIB Cox Hydro Blaster boat.

No, not spoiled. My Dad was. Yeah, looks like the same radio unit was used across the board. Probably a cost saving thing.
