Using red and blue marking pens is a good idea for insignia. Perhaps red and green marking pens are good for christmas colors.

Re: Jim Walker's Interceptor Plan
A fellow by the name of Frank Macy carried on this legacy of the Interceptor through the 80's. This is the version from Model Builder
This needs a Jetex on it.
Good stuff on this website http://www.americanjuniorclassics.com/interceptor/franklauncher.htm

Re: Jim Walker's Interceptor Plan
This post has a link to .pdf scan of the Interceptor:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=16379938&postcount=946
I also seem to remember one of the modeling magazines published a radio controlled version of the Interceptor about 7-8 years ago, but I don't remember which one.

Select very light balsa sheet and print on thin paper.

Where does the horizontal stab go when wings are folded?

It stays right where it is. The wings fold up, and back across the fuselage, staying just above the horizontal stab. Got to find a picture of one being ready for launch in a rubber band caliput.

Re: Jim Walker's Interceptor Plan
So now I'm thinking: How about a carbon fiber reinforced version with a jettisoning climb weight for launch with a big ol' 3/16" sq. strap of Pirelli rubber?
