Are those genuine PETERSON VICE GRIPS? Don't abuse them! They are going for more than a Babe Bee on ebay!

The tool box is a highly detailed 1/6 scale model from Snap-On, that is well worn. The vice in the background is a watchmakers tool for balancing, balance wheels, used in old mechanical watches.

I've got one of those heads on a crusty old bee - who made those non-standard glow heads?

The head is a GLO BEE. They worked well when they worked. There were several variations of that head all looking the same with the exception of the squish area. There was a sport plug, a racing plug and yet another style. Some Glo Bee plugs required 6-7 head shims to work properly and not overcompress the engine. The plugs were not your most reliable plugs even though in my opinion they gave your engine the best performance. They would burn out frequently as well probably due to being overcompressed. The Tee Dee in the pic is similar to what Joe Klauss provided with his KK Kraftmanship engines. Glo Bee plug was standard with the KK needle valve spraybar as well as a 5-40 allen prop screw. Each engine utilized a pressure nipple backplate and the cylinder deck height was optimized for performance using .001"-.003" brass shims under the cylinder. Ken

Here are the parts that were in the box, including the original needle assembly:
