Trick or treat!
We had a bowl of treats by the front door, but the church carnival across the street kept the kids off the street and safe. So I have a lot of candy to eat for a while.

Re: Trick or Treat
This was the first year that we didn't hand out candy...
Was at the nursing home with my grandma all day until I came home at 10:00. Kept all the lights off in the front. The house was pitch black LOL. We thought about leaving a bowl of candy out with a "take 1" sign but everyone knows that the first kid fills their pillowcase. We had some tootsie pops that we gave to the nurses that came in to help her and give her pills. Hopefully we will be back making up little bags of candy and so on.

Re: Trick or Treat
How's the ol' girl doing, Jacob? Just hanging out at a nursing home can be tough on us young people. Is she alert and lucid, understands what's happening? You and your folks have my sympathy.
I hate to say it, but I think this in our near future for Holley's Mom. We're apparently at that age in life where it's happening with all of our friends parents too. My Mom is still getting around pretty well at 80, but my step dad doesn't seem so well. My Dad died when I was 16. They've been married longer now than she was to my Dad when he passed away. He would be 92 now.
