correct fuel

I just got a cox baby bee (I think thats what they call it) at a garage sale for $1 and I would like to know the correct fuel that it uses. I have been told that I may need to mix my own using methanol and castor oil by a older guy at the local toy/hobby shop. He said that he hasent seen a cox product since at least 1980. I know there must be a premixed fuel out there that I can use in cox engines.I know that i cant use model car fuel or most airplane fuel.

You can use model airplane fuels containing at least 20% castor oil. Cox engines run best on higher nitro content fuels (15-35% nitro) I'm not 100% sure but I have been told that the Cox racing fuel that was available in the 70s contained about 60% nitro! Car fuel usually contains a high amount of nitro but it contains less oil. if you know what you are doing, you can get a bottle of 100% pure castor and mix it with the car fuel. You will want the fuel to contain at least 20% castor oil! The fuel can contain synthetic oil as long as it has 20% castor. Castor oil is needed for the ball and socket joint in the piston, synthetic oils don't properly lube the ball and socket joint at high speeds and high heat. Sig champion 25 is my favorite fuel.

If you are still in need some of my friends tell me glowplugboy 1/2a fuel is the best for cox .049 engines.
