Yes, it will. It's no different from .049/.051. Whay they used the .05 designation I'll never know.

Re: Wanted: Glow Head for TD .05 RC
No, why they called it an .05 instead of a .051

Re: Wanted: Glow Head for TD .05 RC
The 050 is actually an 051 with higher exhaust port cutouts to negate SPI. They use the 1702 Tee Dee glow heads.
perhaps

Saving ink, simplifying differentiation between the TEEDEE 051 and the 05 r/c so as there were less confusions, as it was mentioned, the cylinders weren`t exactly the same

RE:Wanted Glow Head for TD.05RC
The cylinder for the TD.05 RC, as Bernie mentioned, has the exhaust port cut outs raised noticably to eliminate SPI.
The cylinder has 2 bypasses and an additional flute on each bypass unlike the standard TD.051 part which has 2 bypasses and 2 flutes on each bypass.
The outside of the cylinder is ground for the muffler assembly.
The #5 is stamped in the exhaust part.
The piston, rod, cylinder assembly is part # 20145.
Spare ones are about as rare as you can get in the Cox world IMO.

RE:Wanted Glow Head for TD.05RC
I have not disassembled my NIB TD.05RC pictured in my avatar to check but I have some of the service repair cylinders from Cox that are as described above.
Cox was getting pretty hit or miss about that time in 1994 apparently so who knows whats right.
To illustrate I have a brand new, no box, Black Widow with the Black plastic 8 cc tank, no vents, silver crankcase, and #4 TD .049 cylinder. I would probably call it a Baby Bee, but the original owner I got it from said it was in a Black Widow box from the factory.
Go figure.....
